The interactive exhibition To Show What Cannot Be Seen is a hybrid between a laboratory and a gallery. It serves as an introduction to the scientific image and invites discussion on how images can be used to create understanding of complex systems. Visitors can explore how visualization makes the invisible visible in fields such as medicine, biology, statistics, and astronomy.
The exhibition was developed in a close, explorative collaboration between researchers at Linköping University, engineers, designers, and storytellers, creating a new approach to science communication. To Show What Cannot Be Seen was the core exhibition at Visualiseringscenter C from 2010 to 2017, providing an engaging and explorative experience that bridges art and science. Lead exhibition producer was Katarina Sperling, with exhibition design by Spridd.
