Hysterikon

Hysterikon is a dark comedy written by Ingrid Lausund, imagining a world where all of existence and every value is part of a gigantic supermarket — where everything can be bought and sold: values, experiences, status, and even love. What if everyone truly has a price — and can be priced? Which lives and emotions would be valued the highest?

Developed through an experimental process, the project brought together performing arts, filmmaking, and interactive and immersive modalities in a collaborative approach. Digital technology was used as a tool to explore how the artistic content and storytelling could evolve. The performance was staged simultaneously in the dome theater at Visualiseringscenter C and at Östgötateatern.
